A musician in heart, engineer in mind, hippie in soul & space holder in training; Nima started his music journey with the Iranian classical music and the instrument Santur. He has always embraced a fusion of Western & Eastern ways and continues to create a bridge between them. His Middle Eastern background rooted in Iran fused with Progressive culture of Bay Area has helped him create melodic and experimental modern Electronic music & dances. Today he finds himself more in the Ecstatic Dance community & mindfulness festivals. While at occasions taking a peak back to his creative community of Bay Area Burning Man. During his recent travels of Central America, he has found a deep love for the Cultures of Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua & Costa Rica where he now finds those influences in his work. His goal with music is to create experiences where the audience find a glimpse of being present again.

I’m absolutely in LOVE with this process of music creation. I have been playing Santur for a while but music and sound in general didn’t click for me until this year. Feels like it may be too late, when you get older to start new things, but life is too precious to wonder in doubt land. I still got a lot to learn, but I absolutely love this process. Ours go by and I only notice my body telling me to take a break when I’m behind my instruments.
The original song is the song of the current Iranian revolution. It’s speaking of all the reasons why people want a change. The song is written by @shervinine. The lyrics are inspired by people’s voices. I hope I did some justice to it.
